I personally think that if the helghast would have german accent it would be too soft. If you’ve really listened to common german its actually a big difference to what the stereotypical bavarian german talks (or yells) like. The helghast have the best fitting accent imaginable in my opinion. Although the voice acting for the ISA is terrible i find that the game has very, very good sound effects apart from many other shooters. I love this game.

Why do Americans always refer the English language to British?

lol I doubt it has anything to do with grudges.
Game designers, movie directors, and whoever else is creator of their respective fields of interest, use their imaginations when implementing their ideas. For some, British accents are very fitting for antagonists. As for LoTR, while it seems to make no sense to have American accents in Medieval England, it once again is just part of their imagination.
Overall, there’s nothing wrong with British accents. They’re cool in their own way.

Yeah but why?
I can understand the main helghast guy as his accent is upper class and sounds quite evil.
The ordinary helghast sound like everyday english people and the helgast are portrayed as barbaric non-humans.
Star wars and Lord of the rings were worse. Even though lotr was suposidly based in medieval england, the only poeple with english accents are THE ORCS! All the goodies people have perfect American accents.
Do guys still hold a grudge or something, lol?

Aw, c’mon. You have to admit that British accents are the most fitting for voices of antagonists. Liquid Snake was a perfect example.
The Helghast could have had German accents, but that would’ve been TOO coincidental.
Basically, British accents seem to make for the most perfect antagonist voicework.

until Sony decide to re-innovate their marketing department by firering the people taking decisions, we can only espect poor sales for the hardware as for the software’s.

My People… If our enemy wishes to bring us a war, let us give them… A war!
Let us strike without warning, without mercy, in every city and every direction.
Let us unleash the whirlwind of our wrath! May our guns never tire, let them suffer the full force of our fury, and curse the day, they set foot onto this, OUR HOME!
